My scooter finally has 1,500 miles on it and it sometimes stalls occasionally if it's not warmed up and I come to a stop. I bought the feeler gauges yesterday. I've never done a valve adjustment. Is there a tutorial?
I will be taking it into a motorcycle shop to have my friend supervise, so is there anything special a motorcycle pro should know? (not me him)

Not realy , it's fairly strait forward . If he is a mechanic he will know what to do right off the batt. I adjust mine to .004 both intake and exhaust . Others will say .004 and .005 , others say .005 for both , others say differant . I have had no problem with .004 on both .

I would say don't watch them do it, you will kick yourself for not doing it yourself .

Before I got the feeler guages I just used a piece of 20lb printer paper setting the intake snug and the exhaust to just clear.

I'm almost at 4k miles (almost 6k km) and haven't done a valve adjustment yet! My scoot works just fine. I wonder if I'll ever need it?

On my Lance 150 it was requireing one every 1,000 miles which was montly. Got to be that I could almost do it in my sleep and probably did do it while at least half asleep a few times.
