I would really like to work my way up to a Burgman...but still love these bikes...so easy to work on. I wish we had more around here.

A: Make sure the paperwork is clean. It's not gonna be worth anything without a clean title. B: As long as you like to tinker and you're not too hung up about making a profit.
Plan for worst case and add up the cost of repairs. Top end kit? Clutch? Mirrors? Brakes? Belt? Battery? Light bulbs? Missing screws and hardware? It all adds up.
Sounds a lot like the Znen I'm finishing up. I added up all the receipts and I could almost have bought a new one for what I spent on it already, but I did learn lot in the process.
At 1000 miles on the clock that may or may not be accurate depending on whether or not they re-jetted it after changing the pipe and who knows what else. That may be as far as it got before they smoked it and then parked it.
