It seems I can find 788 -17 and 18 but not ending in 1 . Its preinted at least twice on the belt so its not 1x like I first thought . The only places I saw were on Ebay pages outside of the USA or in bulk . Anyone know where I can get a Bando 788-18-1 or if for sure another belt will work . Its for a Minarelli longcase with 13s

Thank you so much that link says I can also use a 788 -17-28 or 788-18-30 as Scrappy has those .
Now correct me if Im wrong , a wider belt may have more top end ? Longer belt may also have more top end providing it travels up far enough ? I am unsure on both as I have not tried using a belt other than the exact size on my Echarm and this is my stock belt . It still looks in almost new condition as the ink is good and no frays or damage . Will take a caliper to see if its still 18mm wide .
How would( the last number which is the angle ) diff angles perform compared to another . I know 28 is not much diff than 30 as far numerical but unsure if it would be the same or not .
Thanks again for such a quick reply

The angle is what rides on the surface of the pulleys, so one with less angle would tend NOT to wear the top edge(WIDTH the 18mm) because now more of the side of the belt is riding on the pulley and I would think it would also grab better more material with pressure on it. But that also depends on the angles of the pulleys as well.
And yes a wider belt may give you a little more on the top end while a narrow belt would not. But we are talking MM hair thick stuff so a mm up or down is not going to make a lot of difference. Alleyoop
