So I just got my exhaust and put it on. Long story short it fit on perfect without any problems.
But when I plug the exhaust hole the engine bogs down a little but keeps running. Last time this happen its because I didn't put an exhaust gasket in. However this time I specifically made it a point to make sure it was in and right. Exhaust gets hot quick and you can feel a good "put put".
Also i've only riden it for less than a qauter of a mile and when I got home I smelled something burning, like bad. Maybe it just needs to ran for awhile?

You are running too lean !!!! You need to install a larger main jet or you will burn it up !!! . Remove the main jet to use as a base and get a larger one . What size can vary from place to place so it may take several tests with diff sizes . I would get a jet kit since it is far cheaper than buying jets at a per jet price and nice to have extras should you need them for later like with an airfilter mod which also requires you to upjet . Here is an example of a jet kit for a 50 www.partsforscooters.com/114-49-QMB139-Main-Jet-Kit?sc=34&category=133078

With an exhaust and or airfilter upgrade , like a Uni both require upjetting . Now you can run straight pipe providing its long enough and your jetting is right like many Harley riders do , but may get a ticket for it being too loud . A buddy who drinks too much broke of his muffler in a mishap . I warned him about it being too lean and even gave him a Gy6 jey kit I had bought and offered to help him change out the main jet for a larger one . Well did not take my advice and even broke off the pipe at the head . It ran too lean , got hot and the exhaust valve head broke off and ate up his engine . His engine is in the picture and had to buy a new cylinder and piston kit . Jets are far cheaper than a new engine ! Attachments:
