Hey everyone. Just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I just bought a 2005 Roketa Bermuda 150cc from a friend, and was hoping there were a few of you who may have owned one so I might pick your brains if I have any problems.

Thanks for the welcome Terrilee. I hope to have a pic soon, I have been doing some work on my scoot it needs a little bit of TLC, my friend is not mechanically inclined, he did not know it had an air filter or the transmission needed to be changed but he at least changed the oil every 1000 km. A little more work and it will be ready to cruise.

Thanks alleyoop, I will. As far as I can tell compression seems to be fine. I had it up to 50 mph with no problems, doesn't smoke has a little over 11,000 miles on it. The only big problem I have seen was when got off work there was a puddle of transmission fluid in front of the center stand. Other than that I need to replace the intake manifold boot, and it should be here next week.

If there is a little oil by the center stand check your valve cover gasket that is about where the center stand lines up with. Your tranny is by the rear wheel behind the Clutch. You will probably see a VENT hose on top that vents the tranny.
With that many miles maybe they never put in a new valve cover gasket and may be leaking your crankcase oil from there.

Ok, I will check, the fluid was amber colored and I have changed the tranny fluid but haven't changed the oil yet but will as soon as it quits raining.

Well if it is tranny oil that stuff stinks you can really smell it. The oil does not smell like that.
