I bought a DLH High Performance Variator Complete Set so I can replace the stock variator. The set comes with 9 rollers consisting of 3 different weight sizes i.e. (3) - 5 grams, (3) - 7 grams & (3) - 9 grams. Since the variator holds 6 rollers, do I need to buy 3 additional matching weight rollers or do I use 2 different sizes i.e. (3) - 5 grams, (3) - 7 grams and stagger them inside the variator?

Mixing the weights half and half (alternating) allows you to get the equivalent of the in between size. Maybe just the thing for fine tuning your results. Or you can purchase additional rollers in standard weights.

DX They are so you can mix and match..to find the optimal rotating mass(total roller weight) that your scoot needs. Make every other one a diff weight...i.e. 5gram..7gram...5gram 7 gram etc. Say yours runs best with 3.. 5 gram and 3... 7 gram. Total weight is 12 grams. Divide this by 2 and you get 6 grams..so you would order a 6 gram set of rollers or sliders and your scoot should be dialed in..

DX That's my plan when I have the kahonees to tear apart my variator. Still intimidated by that little task....need an impact also.
