Not sure what you meant. But I unscrewed the spark plug with a socket wrench . Plugged it into the black wire and held the plug against the valve cover. where the gap is. And then on the side of the plug. Didnt get anything. However isnt this odd?. Because why does the engine sound different after removing the spark plug if the spark plug wasnt doing anything?.

the engine sounds different because with th plug out, theengine looses compression and its blown out the plug hole.

anyway if your not gettin spark make sure the wire is attached at the other end . the wire screws on . alsocheck the nuts on the coil . this is what the other end of the plug wire attaches to. there are two nuts on top of a cylinder lookin thing.
