Installed big bore, kit and now my timing is off. I thought for sure I left the piston perfect and installed cam back with holes lined up. Thrived to start it and it was ticking so I checked stator timing and it and the Sam were off so one of them is off. Another thought I may have the 69 mm valves and have the 64's installed either way I believe the stator t mak is not right and now my cam is off. Firsthand things first any way to get the cam in time? Thanks

I reassembled correctly it will sputter but never fully start. Can I measure with a ruler? Before I took it apart I put the cam in timing which I know was right because I have adjusted the valves and it came out correctly. I never checked the stator timing before took it apart so I'm not sure if those ticks were ever right when it came out of the factory. Anyway with out the tick marks to get it in time?
Thanks

Ok I do have the stock jet in. Does the bigger bore cause it to click a little louder. I'm afraid the cam is off time but I have it set perfectly with the stator tick marks. Is their anyway for that to be off if I never had to take the magneto off?

I would say just take it apart again, put it at tdc and then take readjust the cam and the valve clearance. I normally do .002, .004 seems a bit big to me but some things work better for other people

The kit came with rocker arms for 69mm valves, but I'm pretty sure mine are 64mm is there a way to measure my stock valves if so how?

[replyingto=jtgolden]jtgolden[/replyingto]There is a timing mark on the flywheel (the side of the crank that the variator is NOT on - the right side of the engine if you're sitting on the bike) there are several lines and a "T" for TDC. (it's kinda hard to see here but when you get the cover off you should see the "T" mark. Line this up and with the valve cover removed make sure that the cam sproket has the big hole on top and the 2 little holes lines up with the top of your head. If all that is lines up then your timing is good. If it's even one tooth off the little holes will not line up properly with the top of the head. *The images are not mine, I borrowed them from ebay.globaldc.com/scooterparts/borekits/100ccGY6/install/bbk.html*

The 64mm and 69mm valves are the height not the valve size you would know if you have the wrong rockers there is a good deal of differancs
