OH yea it matters, 1E40QMB is a 2 stroke and a GY6 is a 4 stroke. Beamers are usually 2 stroke though.

I'm running a 100 jet in mine. Exhaust and straight carb. It runs great. But I don't recommend trying it with a stock air box and exhaust. Mine didn't have the air box when I bought it so I bumped the jet size to make up for the extra intake...

The jets for a 2T are not the same size as a 4T so they will not fit . Many use Mikuni VM11/22 main jets . Measure your jets with a caliper and you may want to get the jet kit for tuning it www.partsforscooters.com/114-50-Minarelli-Main-Jet-Kit?sc=34&category=133078 With an airfilter or an exhaust mod both will require a larger main jet . There is no set formula on what size to use as it has variables like altitude and climate so what works for one may not another . I had a 68MJ and went with a 75MJ in my 2T 50cc scoot . I later put on a small UNi ( not the big red airfilter but a vent cover ) and used a 90MJ and it ran great . With airbox and stock exhaust it may sputter as it may deliver more fuel than it can use . When I put on a BBK and racing pipe I had to test a few MJs in order to get it running right as at first I tried too large and it would spit gas out of the Uni
