Alright. So last year I bought a Moped, but later got a car and moved to the other side of my town. Got into a rush hour car pile up with me at the end only having liability. My car got totaled, and I had to move back into my grandpas. I lost my job because of it, and he won't let me use a car. So 6 months after buying it I don't have a choice not to fix it and soon. So all help is welcome because I need this thing running a month ago so I can get back to work. So immediate help is greatly appreciated.
No Fire...
I didn't know much about scooters till i got my hand into my first one learning about carbs and now this one learning the electronics and fire of them. So the diagram I am including shows everything I am about to say.
The stator- is fine it has 52ACv from the Red/Black (CDI POWER) and 1.3ACv to Blue/Yellow (CDI TRIGGER WIRE). Both within the range needed for fire.
The CDI- is fine (I think) trigger wire(#1) still has same power leading into the CDI as does the CDI power wire(#6). (#2) The Yellow/Black wire which is the ignition coil power. (#3) Is empty but I know it is supposed to be ground, and (#4) Also ground has the Green ground wire HOWEVER #4 has a splice from the ignition coil ground before it reaches the CDI. This is question one should i cut the splice and connect it directly to #3 with a jumper wire? or is it fine? (#5) Is Empty and from official diagrams this is wrong. There should be a Black/White wire from the Killswitch and there is a loose Black/White wire, but I haven't chased it yet, and it doesnt change anything when i plug it in. (#6) is the power wire for the CDI
Ignition Coil - (I believe this is the problem) So I have the ground to green and black to Yellow/Black, so I believe this is connected properly. Well this is where the power is lost. The Yellow/Black wire has between 25-40ACv when UNPLUGGED to the ignition coil with leads plugs red to power and black to ground (DUH). THE POWER IS LOST HERE when I plug the ignition coil into the power and ground as it is suppose to be and move the plastic slip back to test it the same way just plugged in it reads .05ACv. <<< Power was just lost? and after that there is no power so the plug wont bite me and I try to turn it because I don't feel anything with my finger over it.
A little back story to the actual moped it was bought with only a 4th of a mile on it. The owner said he bought it online, and when he got it and assembled it, it ran he left, then had to push it back home. He tried changing the CDI so now I have a spare, but the one that came with the bike seems better.
The factory told him to send it back for 200 and they would fix it, but he seemed pretty well off so he just sold it. Now I have it.
Please immediate help is needed I have to get back to bringing money in or else I will be HOMELESS, because even my grandpa has limits with me stay out here in the country with no local jobs and so I am not bringing in any money. PLEASE HELP ME!!
