Check the bottom wire on the TWO PLUG of your CDI with either a VOLT METER or a 12V light TESTER and see if you get a reading on the VOLT METER or the LIGHT TESTER LIGHTS UP. Alleyoop And it should be what? 40-80 VAC.?only while cranking the motor right? Also, in my harness, the bottom two on the 4 wire plug have green wires from them and only one is connected to a ground. Should I splice the other into it?

Good, I was just making sure it was not get 12v straight from the battery WHICH IS HOW DC systems work. To answer your other question, yes the VAC from a good stator should be anywhere from 40-100VACs. Did you put in a new stator or anything besides a CDI and or R/R? Alleyoop

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]What I did was to open the fan cover and check the color codes and also ring out all the wires with an ohmmeter. What I found is the HV supply wire from the stator was broken inside the chinese style Butt connector and covered with shrink tubing. I removed all that, and properly spliced the wire and VOILA! spark! there is no problem with the cdis Thanks for helping me out
