[replyingto=oldsailor]oldsailor[/replyingto]I have a stock exhaust from a Taotao 150 EVO,,just took it off to put a free flow on,,its like new if you want it send me a PM and Ill ship it to ya for a good deal! If your looking for a free flow after market Id look at the P&P on ebay,,very high quality,,all stainless steel,,strong brackets not like the cheap ones,,for $125 shipped,,I have one and like it alot. Its pretty noisy though,,sounds like a honda 300x,,the stock one is SUPER quiet! Hey, how does it perform with a freeflow exhaust compared to the stock one?

[replyingto=prodigit]prodigit[/replyingto]Its like night and day bro!
Much more responsive, more low, mid, and high,,top end went up a bit also,,the motor runs so much more efficiently with it and the UNI of coarse:)

I think the bike has enough response already just being stock! Mine does 62-63MPH tops, but does not maintain it. It goes down by 3MPH from that.
I was under the impression it was running a bit rich, so wanted to know how much a freeflow exhaust would do. I know the muffler is super quiet, and I think it is somewhat restricting the bike with that small exhaust tip. I might keep the exhaust, but I probably will drill it out. Only problem is where will I drill it?
Did you re-jetted the bike, and how fast does yours go?

The P&P looks good but how do I attach it to the EVO 150?
The stock exhaust has that back bracket and I think I'd have to attach the new one there to.
Thanks again.

I personally don't like that type of exhaust. 1- It's too loud 2- it's made out of chinese shiny. Or future rust pipe. I'd prefer something that's a bit more rust protected.

[replyingto=prodigit]prodigit[/replyingto]My P&P is not cheap chinese,,its all solid stainless,,even the header pipe all the way from front to back,,and its only loud if you crank hard on the throttle,,the pipes from ebay that are 50-80 dollars are the cheap junk,,alot of guys here have good luck with them too! On the stock pipe I would cut the back out so it has a 1"hole..barely any air comes out of the stock pipe,,the free flow will blow your hand away if you put it back there and crack the throttle...lol It goes over 60 MPH on the speedo but its taching 8K,,I dont like to ride there long,,I need to check with gps its prolly more like 55-57 MPH. Yes ofcoarse it was jetted

Mine with the big can is plenty quiet. I have a nearly identical header and a small can on the Znen and it is louder. I don't think I could have fit the big can on the Znen unless I could straighten the last bend to keep the muffler low and more parallel to the pavement. And the performance over the OEM pipe(straw!) is great. There is no benefit in the OEM exhaust, except cost - some as low as $40 plus shipping. But they are ubber restrictive. [replyingto=jeepsteve92xj]jeepsteve92xj[/replyingto]Nice,, I like the way you double nutted that bolt to make an adjustable mount,,pretty cool idea there...

I was all prepared to make bends and welds and stuff when I realized I just needed spacers. I did have to make a dent in the can to not be up against the swing arm on the Xingyue.

I really dont think prodigits stock Taotao is doing 63 mph on a flat,,is that GPS verified? There are guys on here with BBK 150's and alot of mods that are doing 67-68 mph,,so I believe your numbers are off,,or your speedo sir..

There is no benefit in the OEM exhaust, except cost - some as low as $40 plus shipping. But they are ubber restrictive. That the stock muffler is restrictive, I have no doubt about that. However, I see no reason why to do the move, if my evo goes as fast as his, while his has performance upgrades and was rejetted. I mean, mine also goes 60MPH on the speedo (a tad faster). The EVO's speedo is about right, perhaps 1MPH off with the GPS .. I think the exhaust tip is the one that's restricting the speed. I'll see if I can't drill it out some day; should give similar results...

[replyingto=prodigit]prodigit[/replyingto]You might just have a faster one,, I bet if you upgrade to UNI,free flow, and up jet,,slap a set of 13g sliders in it,,you may see 65!
