Still need help, anyone have a wiring schematic for scooter (TAOTAO EVO 150)? Again replaced stator, now have lights but not overly bright, but no battery charging. Replace R/R and still no charging.
Alleyoop or tvnacman or anyone else have any ideas? Dan

Moe, at Scrappydog though it would have to be a loose connection somewhere.
Checked all connections and WD40 applied.
Will test ride today.

2012 TaoTao EVO150 scooter. Stopped running on a trip, carted home, no spark, ordered coil and CDI - replaced both but didn't fix. No continuity on power pin of CDI. Replaced 8 pole stator which showed a shorted out ignition coil had to replace the green stator connector with the bigger white connector from the old stator. Scooter started. Took it for a test ride and blew out the headlight and running lights. Replaced regulator, floating ground one and new headlight and running light bulbs. Here's the problem, starts good, lights on, take a little ride and headlights go out. Let it rest for 5 minutes or so and start and headlights are back on. I can't make the lights go out while stationary, have to be riding at about 5k rpm. Also on center stand, when lights are on they are dim at idle - 1800 rpm and when rpms run up, headlights will actually dim, brighten up and then stay dim, not nearly as bright as before. Seems like they go through a cycle. It appears that the battery is being charged even when the light are off although I could be wrong. I’m baffled, could I have a wrong/bad part, i.e. stator or regulator? I sent a email for help out to Scrappydog Scooters, (where I got replacement parts) and haven’t got anything back as yet. Any help will be appreciated.

The P&P looks good but how do I attach it to the EVO 150?
The stock exhaust has that back bracket and I think I'd have to attach the new one there to.
Thanks again.
