I installed the hoca 18/46 gears on my black galaxy with all the mods and big valve head etc etc. Overall they do ok im not overly impressed, i did not lose acceleration or hill climb and gained maybe 6 mph on the top end. I'm gonna keep them and ride awhile longer, but i prefer the 16/50 set over the 18/46 and the 16/50 is half the price

I ran it farther and hit 58 gps on a good flat road with smooth pavement i gained 12 mph total over stock gears i suppose they are worth it  |

i can say these gears are great for for in town driving can do 35 at 1/8 throttle motor barely working

What was the stock gear set ? What weight did you use before and after the mod ? Same springs too ?

Stock gears were 14/52 used what's in the mod list tried several weight combos settled in at a 9.7 mix of 9.5 and 10 gram only had three of each so ordered a full 10 gram set and it will be better

how is the acceleration compared to stock? i'd like to change my gears so it isn't screaming at 45mph but i don't know how it effects lowend.

8100 rpms at 58, acceleration actually is a little better than stock after the weights are tuned in. I thought they would kill my take off and hill climb, but they do not, they are 2.52 ratio.

So i actually take my statement about not impressed back, the more i ride the more im starting to like them, overall a good purchase, just different than the 16/50 set i'm used to but gained more speed out of the hoca set
