You're crazy. There isn't enough cable poking out of the outer in that picture to ever mount it correctly...

Are you running the 24mm carb on a 50cc if so you just take your dremel with cutter wheel and cut off the top nut on the cable and you can slide the cable farther

thanks millsc i went out and bought a new calbe from a bike shop I just have to wait until tuesday for them to get the knarpels in for me. I have minimual tools so i have to do what i can do and a dremel isnt included in my short list of tools. i actualy had to go buy a drill a tap and a couple drill bits bc one of the bolts on the throttle housing was completely stripped out. first time drilling out a bolt and i completely ruined it i would probably need to go up two sizes on it inorder to fix what i did.

oh and yes it is the 24mm i am determined to try and get it to work even though most of you guys have told me to go down to stock. while were on this topic if im running to rich with my open air filter and stock but drilled and bored exhaust. what will happen if i take off my exhaust and just use one of those flexible exhaust hoses to make sure nothing gets in the exhaust?

***************UPDATE********************
So i got the knarps in for the cable a couple days ago and just got around to trying to figure out how much cable i actually need. I did a guestament and came up too long. Do i just need to keep cutting some cable bit by bit until i get the right length? and i also tried starting my engine today i have no electric start so i was kick starting. i was real gentle on the first couple kicks so eveything would get lubed up before i actually tried to kick start it. I can feel and here theres compression (no gauge however) after a few good kicks i could smell gas how do i check to see if theres spark? ive got the iridium plug in there now idk if this makes a difference or not.
Do i just take the plug out, reatach the plug boot and kick to see if there is spark?

Yes pull the plug, attach the boot, and ground it to the engine. You want to leave a bit of cable poking out when you trim.

oh and i also over torgued a valve cover bolt and stripped the thread in my brand new big valve head its on the bottum left. Is it absolutly vital to have all 4 on there? i really dont want to go buy a tap. is there some kind of sealant like jb weld i can use or should i go buy the tap and tap it out? if i have to buy a tap what size tap should i get? the same size as the bolt ihave for it now or the next size up? would it be recommened to stay with metric thread?
