Peacedawg. you probably have 6 screws holding windshield on. go ahead and take the other 4 out and remove the windshield. On my JCL MP250 the 6 little rubber gromlets with the nut molding inside, most of mine were no good so I took 1 of the little metal speed clips that go on the plastic panels that the screws go in, I went to local hardware store and matched up the clips and I used those on the fairing in place of what the factory used. I then cut 6 small thin washers to go between the clip and shield and used short sheet metal screw with thin rubber washer to hold shield on. Works great and windshield is nice and tight. Could u go this route or something close to work. Sometimes you just have to outsmart the Chinese. Let us know. Barnie

Sure, the smallest little wall anchors would work as long as there is enough depth in the fairing. Good idea. Barnie

The fasteners on the scooter wind shields are called well nuts. They work great if you buy quality ones which you can get at any Ace hardware in the right sizes you need. I replaced mine because we all know the Chinese rubber is junk and will fail. Here is how they work: JR
