Today I got my license plate in the mail and the Registration card that came with it is not filled out except expiration date, plate number and motorcycle.....And on the side it says REGISTRATION PENDING....They sent a small copy of form that we sent in that has my name address and Scooter make model year and serial number on it..... Is this normal? And no I havent got the title back yet either... I plan on keeping these and insurance card together on scooter. Am I still legal to drive with this not filled out?

When I bought it I got copies of everything including dealer title...And they sent all the paperwork in to the state for me..I then took all of it to the insurance office and they made copies of title and stuff then issued me my insurance. I didnt have to go to the DMV since dealer filed paperwork for plates.

I don't even need to pass the DMV. Just go to a Tag agency, and it'll take care of everything.

I put all the papers I have together in a pouch that will stay on scooter along with tool pack. And since the Sec of State sent me a license plate I feel that things should be okay. (fingers crossed)

In SC we do not have tag agencies but NC does which is owned and ran by the private sector instead of state government

Every State is different. If they gave you a current plate, I'd say it's good to go. Congrats on the new scoot! Welcome to 2 wheel freedom.
