I have a Kymco Cobra racer with road tires. I also have the non-racer version as a parts bike with smaller wheels and larger off road tires much like a Yammy Zuma.
Both need new rubber soon and as I can use either , which is the advantage of each ?
Thanks !

As far as I know, the race tires will be far sticky with more traction, but will wear out in about 500 miles.

It's called a racer but they are just road tires. So road tires vs dual purpose, I should have said !

How off road are these tires? Like knobbies? If they are the just remember those will lower your top speed and mileage more than a smoother road tire. I prefer more dual purpose tires tho

Unless you actually are gonna be riding offroad i would stick with the road tires.

Off road tires are with squarish rubber pins, they wear out faster on concrete, and make more noise. They grip better in mud or sand than regular tires, and coushion better on bumpy roads.
Road tires are made for concrete or asphalt roads. They last longer on those roads, but quite often aren't as strong as offroad tires when riding on pebbles. their grip is also way less (to almost nihil) in mud.
If you occasionally ride in grassy or muddy fields, sand or dust paths, or in bad road conditions with a lot of bumps and potholes, get the offroad tires.
Otherwise get the road tires.
