engine keeps dying at 1/4 throttle... Idles fine. but when I give 1/4 throttle it dies like if I hit engine turn off switch. without bogging. engine doesn't die if I give 1/2 or full throttle, but engine dies when I give only 1/4 throttle.

How does it idle? Electrical would not be sensitive to throttle position. Maybe water in the fuel. Drain the float bowl and see if is still bad.

Adjust your fuel ratio mixture to get the HIGHEST IDLE After 5 minutes of idling. Hard to determine if it is to much fuel or not enough. How does it IDLE pretty smooth or rough and at what RPM does it IDLE at? Alleyoop

WOW!! a 110 main jet HOLY SMOKES, that is huge, do you realize that a 150 with a free flow and a filter and a exhaust takes a 110 main jet. You are drowning the poor thing.
What size Pilot jet is in there? Is this a 18-20mm carb or bigger? Alleyoop

Im curious about his air filter , if soaked maybe he is not getting enough air unless when throttle is opened up further. But i would expect his idle to be off.

Doesn't matter really, his first problem is the 110 main jet, 80cc is really a 72cc displacment so his main jet should be in the 80s , like an or maybe even a it all depends on the motor. Also the size carb that is on there the different size venturi effects the air flow and fuel flow. Alleyoop

Take a look at the Pilot jet it may be to small or you can try RICHEN it up the stock 50s come with really small PILOT JETS. Before you even start turn it clockwise until it stops and count the number of turns it was set at. That will help determine if the Pilot jet is to small or to big. Then turn it back out counter clockwise the same number of turns it took to close it. Start it up let it idle for at least 5 minutes then TRY 1/4 turns COUNTER CLOCKWISE riching it and try the Throttle after every 1/4 if it gets worse COUNTER CLOCKWISE go clockwise LEAN.
Whichever way if the IDLE GOES up when your doing the 1/4 THAT IS GOOD. Alleyoop

How was it running before the rain ? Is it an open foam filter?

That is a big main, im just curious if it was running ok before the rain and how long the 110 has been in there? You think he should have had problems from the begining using the 110.

I don't think the air filter is wet. I have been using 110 main jet for a week now and it served me well.

The original post was edited. At first he said it got soaked and that he thought it was an electrical problem. He changed it after I posted. Notice how I said the electrical wouldn't be sensitive to throttle position. That's why I said water in the fuel and to drain the float bowl. He definitely changed it.
