If your replacing rings, what else should you also replace?

I have a tao tao? Vip Future Champion 139 QMB, 100cc big bore kit installed. Everything stock.

Also for the scooter gear heads I thinking of going with the scrappy dog performance muffler and Carburetor. Any suggestions?
