So I bought this 2008 Lancesport Charming for $150 and looked get it running... I when I went to adjust the valves, I saw that the exhaust valve was not off, and upon pulling the valve case, found that the exhaust cap had broken off, and shredded the piston. I replaced the jug, piston, and the rocker arms ( with a 60cc kit ;D) ( now I'm in this scoot for total of $250) I put it all back together and hit the starter, and it turned over twice and stuck... I tried a few more time before realizing that the crank shaft was bent!!!!! After removing all of my prior work, and splitting the engine case, I successfully replaced the crankshaft. I got the entire motor back together, and replaced the carb fuel filter, and petcock for good measure. I started it, and it fires right up...idles like a champ.. But When I give it gas, it dies at 1/3 throttle... WHAT I HAVE TRIED NEW:CRANKSHAFT,PISTON,JUG,VALVEHEAD,ROCKER ARMS, CARB, FUEL FILTER, PETCOCK I have adjusted the valves everywhere from .002 to .004, adjusted the air screw on the carb.. I am out of ideas.... The only thing I can think is the main jet is too small for 60CC, but that seems unlikely... PLEASE HELP!!

With a larger engine , as well as airfilter or exhaust mod you will need to install a larger main jet otherwise you will be too lean . I took the lid off of my airbox for laughs . It idled fine and was louder but bogged so bad I did not leave the driveway and replaced it back on . Get a larger jet or even better a few to test as your needs will vary from others like climate and altitude variables . Here is a chart to help you identify what jets you may have in order to get the right ones www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_identify_that_jet.htm

Thanks guys... Ill get working on the main jet...
Any other suggestions/ issues while I wait for the order?
Also a guy told me to never full throttle a new bore kit until after a few hundred miles... I've never heard this, but wanted to clarify
Thanks
