First question I will ask is the new carb the same size as the original? If bigger they will come with a bigger main and my even come with a bigger pilot jet. The NEEDLE is only for fine tuning IF there is a problem in the mid-range the "C" Clip should be in the middle slot. Alleyoop

I have very little knowledge about it but this is the one I've got www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CWSBT8/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1As far as jet size, I checked the jet out earlier today and it doesn't even have a number on it anywhere which I thought was kind of odd. The c clip was put back in center as a last ditch effort to run before removing it and it did no good. I tried to follow the main tutorials for adjustments (lightly turn a/f screw all the way in and back out 2 1/2 turns) and still no luck. At certain settings it seemed like it was running OK but bogging on low end and I couldn't get that to go away completely. Before I removed it and boxed it back up it wouldn't pull fuel through the line. The original carb has no problem starting right up and pulling fuel through the filter.

[replyingto=z0m8i3]Z0M8I3[/replyingto]Being a "performance" carburetor it may have come with a larger idle jet. I assume the performance carb would have and 38 jets if it really is a performance carb. Either way it should pull fuel through the line if it is a fully functional carburetor. It's quite possible you received a defective unit. I would contact the seller and try to get a replacement, or refund, if a new carb with proper jets doesn't fix it then it's apparently just a cheap carburetor, though it has some good reviews... I believe the purpose of a performance exhaust is to allow more air through with less resistance, so I'm not sure how a quiet performance exhaust would work, though I'm sure they exist.

When I had it running with that carb it would pull fuel, it just seemed that I had it adjusted wrong afterwords because I couldn't get it to do it again. I think the carb may be just fine, personally I think I'm the problem..lol.
