i tested out 18x14 sliders, i sanded them down to fit in the 50cc variator, they were 12 grams i received from scootnwin, they accelerate good and seem to kick in to high gear faster, but i lost top speed over my 13 gram sliders, they work good for hill climbing and take off but you lose some top end. The other strange thing is i couldn't make my back wheel stop moving regardless how low i turned the idle. I put the 13 grams back and all back to normal

howdy, was that comparing a different diameter slider to your original, or just a higher weight. i am ignorant on the designations you used and realize probably most know exactly what you are saying.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya. ken
