Thank you.

I imagine its a tube tire if your asking the question. I would never take that chance . I would be afraid of the tire being loose on the rim.

You can run a tube on a rim designed to be tubeless... Not sure why there is any issue here at all

You can run a tube on a rim designed to be tubeless... Not sure why there is any issue here at all The tubeless rim has a larger hole for the valve stem than on a tube type rim so there could be some issues getting the stem on the tube set but that is not insurmountable. If you do not seal the stem on the tube well enough you could get water inside the rim that could cause corrosion that could scale and abrade the tube leading to a blowout. Tubless rims may not be smooth inside and have rough spots that may cut or abrade tubes leading to a blowout if a rubber rim band is not properly set inside the rim to protect the tube from any imperfections in the casting. It can be done by someone knowledable with enough experience to identify and deal with any issues on the tubeless rim that could compromise the integrity of the tube. That said I ran a tube type Pirelli MT66 130/ -15 on my Tubless Sport City 15 inch rear rim for 10,000 miles and have just gone back to tubeless with a Dunlop 404 130/ -15 having no problems with the tube type tire or tube. The tire will have the type stamped on the side indicating tubeless or tube type tire.

Hi,
Thank you all for the answers. If you'll look at the pirelli website, you can see that this tire can be installed on many scooters, some of them i know use tubeless rims.
I guess i'll have to wait until i see if it says "tubeless" on the tire. I prefer not to use a tube, so if it's not a tubeless tire, then i'll search for another tire.

It is NOT a tubeless tire. Vpcs Just gave you a link to bike bandit where it says it is a tube type tire. Just because it says on Pirelli's website that it can fit scooters that take tubeless tires do not mean it is tubeless. It says right here copied straight from a sellers website that it is a tube type tire. If you want to waste 30 bucks then go ahead and buy it just to see that it does not say tubeless on the sidewall but if your just gonna go ahead and buy it anyways after we told you it needs a tube then why did you bother asking the question in the first place?

I just bougt a set of Michelin City Grips. I never even thought about tube vs tubeless issue. I just "assumed" it was tubeless. Anybody know if it is or not?

If you already have the tires, then just check if it says "tubeless" on the side.

Yeah, they're at the local bike shop. I certainly will check tomorrow. Whats wrong with tubes anyway? As long as they're the right size, and properly installed, there should be no issue.
