The good news: I'm ridin'! The bad news...I decided to do a quick after work ride just now. I noted two possible issues. One...I REALLY need a tinted visor. More notably: starting off (especially on a hill), it shudders a bit...I feel it more than hear it, though a couple times, it made the top box rattle. The scoot has ~10,000 miles...am I right in thinking it's probably time for a drive belt? If so...anyone better than me at searching (which would be pretty much everybody) know of a how-to on the web?

Jarlaxle, my 1st guess is your clutch pads and bell are just glazed. Take the bell off and clean it up good and take some sand paper and clean/rough up pads on the clutch. With 10,000 miles a belt change probably would not be a bad idea also. Barnie

Yep. Shuttering at takeoff.....bet your clutch pads are as shiny as a new pair of shoes. DX

According to my neighbor, it "squeaks" (her word) taking off. (Couldn't tell you, I wear a full-face lid & am half deaf.) Well...looks like I'm taking the CVT cover off this weekend. So, uhh...anyone have any idea how the heck I go about that on a Q-Link? Also, what grit should I use on the clutch pads?

The Q-Link is a Honda Helix clone. The manual for the Helix should provide you with the information you seek. On the emery paper. Started off with a light grit, but found a medium grit (and a light touch) got it off faster. Q-Link Manual: mpsracing.net/technical/helix-manual/index.html (section 8, drive pulley.)
