I bought an NGK (7544) CR7HIX irridium plug; use it only as a backup, as for now, the stock plug works just fine. When adjusting the spark plug gap every 2000km's I think I'm good with this plug for the coming 6-10k Km.

I have 14,000 miles on my NGK iridium and never touched it other than doing a plug chop and installation . Iridium is a semi conductor which allows more electricity to flow through than a standard conductor type of plug . Well worth the extra money

The irridium plug does have a smaller center pin, despite it's better conductivity. I keep it as backup; try to wear out the stock chinese parts first. There's zero performance gains in switching anyway.

I put the new plug in and saved the stock one for a back and installed the new 20mm carb. I want for a ride and hit 45mph on gps and that is not bad as it was not running that good as i had to order a #38 pilot jet as i can not get it to tuned right with the #32 in it. I;m so happy i want with the taotao and not the zuma my friend has even he want's one now.

It does make it run better but not necessary faster . In a 2T is less prone to get fouled out from oil build up

told you. The ratio's on current tao's are pretty much set correctly. Perhaps a bit rich in idle, and a bit lean at WOT.
