Just got my new Roketa 250 yesterday, did the PDI today and fired it up. Went for a very short ride and started to over heat. Started to investagate. Radiator was cool so no coolant flow. Cheacked the thermaste it was covered in some kind of gel. Dug some more water pump outlet was pluged with same stuff, and the vanes on the pump were also full. Cleand out the mess ran water through every thing re filled with new antifreze, now it runs like it should. So best look at the cooling system before running a new scoot.

Burped it also I have been told if you mix some some fluids it will cause a reaction that will cause it to gel. Unless the dealer I bought it from added some I don't think that's the case. Also where the hose hooks on is very pitted to the point some it is gone. Will call the dealer to get a new water pump cover.

Part of complete PDI is to change out all shipping fluids including the antifreeze and brake fluid not just the engine oil and gear lube. Antifreeze once diluted and in an engine is only good for 2 years. Brake fluid once the container is opened and only part full is only truely safe to use for 1 year. In a topped off and sealed brake system it can be good for up to 2 years.
The stuff some bikes are shipped with may be closer to calcium chloride and not a traditional antifreeze.

I changed out my Chinese OEM coolant for Prestone "Low tox" seems to be working well. There was a gentleman posting here with the same model scoot as mine, when he took it up to a overlook he was having overheating issues. I took mine up a 2600 foot elevation, not only did it run cool but ran up the side of that mountain like a Big Horn Sheep!

Shell antifreeze works just as good and very long based on years.
