what is the best gear for my sym dd50 w/ v8 exhaust 72cc polini stock carb w/88mj,and what is the best carb to upgrade my sctock carb.

First off you do not need another carb the one on there is good enough.
As for the gears you will have to look at yours and count the teeth on the two gears to be changed. Also what type of gears, Slip ons or pressed on also the diameter and length of the shaft.

ok thanks,so what is slips on or pressed on?how about 42x15 gear

Sure 15/42 but do you know what type of shaft and gear you have SLIP ON which the shaft has splines and the gear has teeth that fit onto the splines. Or does your shaft have no splines in which case you would need a gear that has no teeth and has to be pressed on.
Only way your going to get the right set is to FIRST check out what is in your tranny. Unless you get lucky and someone has the same scoot and has already changed out his gears.

dio and sym gears are like, 1 off. if it's 9:1 dio its like 8:1 sym. that 41x15 is 9.8:1. like 8.8:1.
which polini you getting? most dio users get around 8.4:1. for a corsa. contesta, a 9:1, somewhere around there, would work. i run 8.9:1 dio.

so 42x15 will do,i dont understand what do you mean by 9:1, 8.4:1 etc.. the only thing i understand is they 42 teeths x 15 teeths on the gearing how did you come up those ratio?right now iam running 50+mph good cond.il get 55mph so 42x15 gear will add more top-end speed? my rollers right now is 9g
