I have the MC-54-250B roketa scooter, runs great but I'm having a problem keeping my air box clamp tight on the back side of the carb, notice the little area for my hose clamp, bearly enough to clamp too, is there any way to put something on the back of the carb to extend it to give me more room for my clamp to Attachments:

richard, can u cut the little lip on the end of the air box rubber where the clamp is. that will let u push the hose and clamp right up to the back of carb. I put a narrow clamp also on mine. make sure mounting bolts are started but loose when u do that. will that work for u?? Barnie

When you say cut a lip, are you saying cut off the extra rubber off air box ? Where did you get the narrow clamp (hard to find)

On the very end of the rubber part that slides on carb mine had a little molded grove for the clamp to fit down in (so the clamp could not slide off). I cut just that little flange sticking up off which let me put the clamp at the very end of the rubber. then just slide the rubber end on tight up against carb and put clamp up tight against carb and mine holds good. Got my clamp at Do-it-Center hardware store. It's about 1/2 as wide as orig clamp. You only cut off about 1/16 or so of the end of boot. Just enough so boot and clamp fit tight against back of carb. It moves air box just a bit forward so start the I start the air box bolts 1st. don't cut much off or your airbox mounting bolts wont line up. Barnie
