It is a mess! The previous owner crashed it several times and tried to work on it without knowing what he was doing. Bolts are stripped or missing, wires are hanging everywhere, and the spark plug hole is stripped. One of the exhaust studs is broken off and there is no front brake. I still think I'm gonna rebuild it, simply to get the experiance. Its a 2010 Daxi (sunny style body) with 3800 km on it.

I stripped down the top end, end everything looks fine, except there is a tiny bit of play in the rod bearing. Its less then a mm of side to side movement. Should I be concerned about that? Also, are there any options for repairing the stripped spark plug hole without having to replace the whole head? Also, I was amazed at how simple it was to take apart the whole top end. I feel more confident about putting a bbk on my TaoTao.

[replyingto=ilovenxstage]ilovenxstage[/replyingto]You can get a helicoil or other brand thread repair kit I think it's12mmx1.5, but bring the plug with you to match the threads.I did that once, and it works fine. available at most auto parts stores
