My scooter came with a 835 it does not get all the way up the varaitor so I ordered a 842 and it does not look any longer and does not ride any higher on the varatior. Is there a longer belt I can try? Should I be able to see a differance length in the 835 vs the 842.

846.20.30 I would go with the larger diameter variator also . 150cc ? is your clutch pully opening all the way ?  John |

I have that varaitor. The belt goes all the way down into the rear pulley but it won't go all the way to the top of the varaitor. Its like my belt is to short. It looks the same as a 835.

To try and get the belt to climb higher on a Variator you either need heavier weights and or more RPMS out of the motor. If you can get the belt to climb about 1/8 from the edge of a 115mm Variator that is about the best you will get.
WHAT are your RPMS at Wide Open Throttle?
You have to remember if you get a bigger belt it may then climb all the way up the Variator BUT it may not go down as far as possible in the Clutch pulley in which case you may loose top end or stay the same.

Another thing I want to add is my belt does not go to the top of the rear pulley when I take off it lacks about an inch. I was hoping some one could post a picture of the size difference between the two belts I think i got another 835 marked as a 842.

Someone posted on here before that the 835 if used will sttech to look like its the same length. This is true. I had a cheap non kevlar 835 that streched to the length of the 842. I always buy gates kevlar now and there is a difference between the two
