You can go to a motorcycle shop and buy "fork oil" before they made fork oil automatic trans fluid was used.

check your manual for specs but as far as type or weight that can change your handling, i'm going off my sportbike racing as far as that goes so do some googles or use the search bar.......

But, my Shadow had 10W in it, had it changed to 20W and the ride was much firmer. (along with new Progressive springs) As far as how many oz, can't tell ya.

The manuals do not have such details, best you can do is empty one and see how much oil is in one of them and then either go heavier or lighter on the oil. Alleyoop
