Here is my theory on Global warming: The oil absorbs the heat from within the earth keeping the temps down. But with all the decades of taking the oil out from under the ground there is less oil to absorb the heat from within the earth. Just call me Dr ziddy-boom-ba, nobody called me to set them straight, OH WELL Alleyoop

Were are at $4.00 a gallon here. BTW I understand that the oil came mostly from forest not from dinos, it is largely decayed plant matter not animal. If it were a stew the animal matter was just the seasoning. I thought oil was mostly sea animals/marine life, and coal was mostly wood/forest/plant life with a bit of dino thrown in? But that's by the by, I'd give my left nut to only pay $4 a gallon! Lol Ian No thanks. I don't need it. My understanding is this. For the oil or coal to be found in a certain area it requires a mass die off. A single piece of wood will rot or petrify. A buried forest will decompose and with the right pressure and heat will turn to coal or petroleum. Even in the big extinction events there would not be enough animals dies in one spot to create huge stores of crude oil. According to this web page it was microscopic bacteria that made oil and forest that made coal dinosaurs.about.com/od/dinosaurcontroversies/a/Does-Oil-Come-From-Dinosaurs.htm

They have found bacteria that eat co2 and excrete oils, maybe there will be a mass of them some day that will be used to make fuel... that would be cool. Just speculation, don't kill me lol

Just filled up before Star Trek (which btb isn't a bad movie, as long as you don't mind the big wink-wink scenes and quotes). Regular is $3.87 this side of State Line.
Btb pay, why the left one? Why not the right one? And I'm with Doug, no thanks on either, thank you for offering.

spandi, what about Mobil with the Pegasus? Were they showing us their petro comes from decayed Pegasi? I'm afraid what I'll find when I get gas here in a bit, before going to Star Trek (bola!) >'Kat Naah, Elmer's glue comes from decayed Pegasus. Old Dinosaurs just make a lot of gas.

I'm jealous of you all, gas prices here in Winnipeg are about $1.30/litre, or around $4. /gallon. It gets worse though; in Vancouver right now gas is hovering around $5.60/gallon. Ouch!

It's £1.40 a litre here in the UK. So that's $2.10 a litre. Or close to $10 a gallon. It costs me £400 a month, just in petrol, to drive the car to work, or £160 a month in petrol and £100 in servicing for the scoot....... Ian
