Way two is to just type the code you see in the third photo in the quick rely box and put the url to the photo in there.
OK with the upgrade to V5 the old method to insert a photo no longer works scroll down to find how to insert a photo now.

Mobile app help from the Proboards support forum"Hi, If you're trying to find a forum within the app directory and are not getting any results back for the forum you are looking for, it's possible that the forum staff have not listed the forum in our directory for it to appear in the search results. You can list your forum in the directory by visiting the "ProBoards Forum Directory" found in the admin panel. Once your directory application has been approved, your forum will display in the search results when a member searches for your forum in the directory within the mobile application. If your forum isn't listed in the directory, or if you don't want your forum to be listed, you can still add the forum manually within the app depending on which version of the mobile application you're using. To add the forum manually, follow the instructions below for your device: Android Devices: Launch the app and then press on the "Me" tab listed at the top of the screen. Press on the "Add Forum" button found at the bottom of the screen What you type in the box that comes up depends on the web address of the forum you want to visit: - If the forum you want to visit has a .proboards.com address (ie support.proboards.com/), simply type in support into the box, then just below the box choose the top option that will display support.proboards.com. Once selected, press the OK button and you'll be taken to the forum. - If the forum you want to visit has a .boards.net, .freeforums.net, or uses their own domain name to access the forum, type that address out in full in the box provided (ie support.boards.net, support.freeforums.net, or yourdomainname.com). Once the address is typed in, choose the second option listed below which will display the forum URL you typed, and then press the "OK" button to access the forum. Apple iOS Devices:: Launch the app and press the "Forums" tab at the bottom of the screen, and then press the "+" button found in the top-right hand corner of the screen. In the screen that comes up, type in the web address to the forum you would like to visit. For example, the web address to this support forum is support.proboards.com -- to visit this Support forum in the app, you would type in support.proboards.com into the box provided and then press the "Done" button in the bottom-right hand corner of the screen."

When the conversion to V5 software happens there will be a new way to insert photos and videos as follows;
this always works;

Posting a video
If you found a video on the internet that you would like to share with other forum members, you can embed the video into your post. When this is done, a video player will appear in a thread after your post is made. ProBoards supports a variety of video services to embed from, as well as supports direct links to video files you have hosted with a file host.
When creating a new thread or post, find the Insert Video button on the posting page to begin embedding a video to your post. Once you click this button, a pop up will display asking for the Video URL, as well as be able to view a list of supported video websites. Simply paste in the URL of the video you would like to embed in your post; you can find the URL of the video either by copying directly from the web address in your web browsers address bar, or through a direct link provided by the share options of the video service you're linking from. Once you have the URL pasted in, click the Insert Video button at the bottom of the pop up window. Now in the posting area, you should see an image placeholder for where the video player will be positioned in your post. After you create the post, the video will display in that spot.

Yeah, sorry, you can not cut and past an image into a post.
You need to first use a photo hosting site to upload the photo to the internet, then you use the address of that photo in your post to make it appear.

OK a little visual aid on posting a picture. First, upload to a service, I know, it is something new for some of you but it is not that hard. You need to pick a photo hosting service, I have used Tinypic for many years and it has worked very well for me, never had a pic link go dead with this, photobucket has troubles all the time with dead links. After uploading to tinypic you get several addresses you can use for posting a photo, reference the urls with the red A and B in this picture that I uploaded for this help post. You can always just type in code for pic posting as shown here, it is easy and the way I will do it if you want to use the buttons/icons; go to post a reply and when you want a pic to go into the post press the icon indicated by this arrow you get this

Also take note folks that the photo if it is too large is automatically resized by a code put in this forum. But if you read the blue type above the picture if you click on the picture it will go back to it's original size for you to look at, click again and it down-sizes. This helps people with smaller screens and slower internet service.
Only on your signatures is your photo changed to the banner saying it is too big. Signature photos are limited to 150px in height.
