My friends scoot that has my old ebay big bore kit was running fine and then the coil broke somehow while riding looks like it blew apart at the boot, i put a new one on it and it still wouldn't start. I checked for spark, fuel, and adjusted the valves still a no go it has good compression. But what i did notice is theres black oily build up all over the rocker arm assembly, could it be a leaky valve stopping it from starting? Tried a new cdi also, still nothing

Check the red/black voltage wire from the stator to make sure its putting out 50-100ACv then test the coil + lead to make sure its getting the atleast 19ACv, leaking valve shouldnt stop it from starting, have you pulled the plug and plugged it into the boot and attempted to start to check that the plug is firing? these coils and cdi's are not built very well, i ordered 2 new cdi's and both didnt work 2! the third one did, so id definitely check for voltage, also make sure any visible grounds are tight, i cant imagine a coil blowing apart..

The coil wire might be shorting to the fame somewhere... It would just act like a big o'l kill switch... it would explain why you have spark when you pull the plug... and when you put it back into place, it won't fire.... (a shafed part of the coil wire, making contact with the fame when the plug is in the scooter) quick test would be to re-route the plug wire and see what happens.

well sometimes when going bigbore you up the compression and the battery may not have enough cca's to continue to have enough to juice it and start it up over time the battery looses is oomph

check the spark plug? my 50cc with the 100cc bore kit ran fine for a while... then it didn't like starting after like a week... it seems that the bigger jet was too rich and fouling the spark plug... so I put back the stock 50cc jet... ever since it started a lot easier with a few times of no start... when that happens I use the kick start... seems like the bigger bore has more compression and slows down the starter which is why I use the kick start to give it that fast stroke.
