I had one like that. I ground it down flat. No more problem.

Im hoping the parts people replace it before i dive into it. The fact the it off kilter makes the bracket off slightly as well.
Come to think of it my T3 doesnt have a gasket.

I would grind it flat, takes just a few seconds. HOWEVER, these headers are usually considerably SMALLER than the exhaust port. This restriction right at the head, you don't need. They cost a few bucks, but it might WELL be worthwhile for you to track down a header with a full 1-inch inside diameter. Your engine would "breathe" better, and might even run cooler. I'm replacing my aged exhaust system right now, and discovered how SMALL these pipes are.
Rather than buy a performance header, I just got a used John Deere generator headpipe and ground off the flange they have protruding into the generator's head. The dimensions are perfect for my GY6 150. I cut a "Pie-wedge" cut into the inside of the curve, and bent it upward to match the curve of the factory header, and had a muffler-shop weld up the cut. Now, it can be fitted to whatever exhaust I dream up...
If you just want to replace your factory header, you can find a full-diameter header if you look around. Just a thought. These engines can use all the help in breathing they can get.
If you stick with the header in the picture, you could at least grind the protrusion flat, then gently chamfer the inside edge of the tubing with a ball-grinding stone in an electric drill to soften the entry of exhaust into the small pipe. It's a small thing, but little things can do a lot to improve these.
Ride safe!

Yep, grind it flat, chamfer the hole. Then beat it to fit the other brackets and paint it to match. Roy

My 49cc was like that. I put it on with a gasket and never had a problem. But it's not gonna hurt to grind it down either

Wonder why I didnt have a gasket on mine? Most of my searches for a part show them on 150's and above.
