[replyingto=frederick]frederick[/replyingto] So, after MUCH time it turns out it was the exhaust! Mechanic #2 looked at it again (for 3 weeks), and since I asked this first be replaced by what all you nice folks recommended, I got free labor and a discount on the part. The theory being that my carb was leaking fuel, and that coked up the exhaust. So I needed a new carb anyway or I would have been burning through pipes. I find it a little odd it clogged up so fast, but whatever, my scooter is faster than it was originally, works great, and I didn't have to buy a new one! It's good to be back in business. The new exhaust is actually a performance upgrade for the JetEuro50, it fit nicely and looks identical. The acceleration is better than ever, with just a slight sacrifice at the top end. 40-43MPH is top end on a flat (1 or 2 people), but it will still get to about 45 on a downhill. Once thing I noticed is what I think are the reeds rattling at a very particular RPM range that I'm usually in. It did this before at a slightly diff RPM. Still I don't care, it's better than ever, maybe I'll try changing over to carbon fiber ones instead of the metal ones currently installed. I will be running a better quality oil as well. Thanks again to all who chimed in. frederick since you spoke first with the right answer I'd be more than happy to send a few bucks your way with a paypal or money order/what have you.

maybe up your main jet one size, since it was a performance upgrade pipe. might be running lean, and it might get higher top speed. if its lean.

most of the times when you go to get it fixed. they fix it. then leave you with the problems it has. like the over lean main jet on the performance exhaust you got now, with the lean main jet. with signs of less top speed. no you shouldnt be running alright, if y8ou lost top speed. performance exhaust usually help because of stock restrictions. does it sound raw? really popping at high speed?

It sounds great, no complaints. My 'restriction' is like 1 or 2 MPH, if anything at all, I attribute this to the new power band of the differing exhaust, which seems to give more power at slightly lower RPMs rather than at higher, which is actually what I want considering my usage. I'll read the plug in a bit and see if it needs re-jetting. Right now all is well!

I have the same scooter up until about 6 months ago . I only mention it because there's not too many of them around . I put a 19 millimeter carb from a seller on ebay called lucky blue moon I believe ( exact fit and around $35) and a koso performance variator with the weights supplied . the result was much better acceleration and a top speed of around 52 miles an hour with the standard exhaust at around 7600 rpm. ( I also got a tiny tach ). Those t5c sf10 engines a pretty damn good .

I just ran through the front bin and used double sided tape as a temporary thing. I sold it before I had a chance to do anything else but it worked well there.
