Just measure the Battery storage box width, length and height and get AT LEAST a 7AMP battery with over 100CCAs(COLD CRANKING AMPS). They sell some really cheap batteries but the CCAs are way under 100 and it will turn over the starter a couple of times and the battery will need to be recharged. Look on the side of the motor by the SIDESTAND right under the CVT it should have the type of motor you have. Ok I found the scoot it is a 4 stroke so on he side it probably will say 139QMB or something like that. If will have a CVK carb with the throttle cable attached to the right side of the carb. Here is where you may find the motor itched on the motor case: Does it start and run or not, if not take a picture of the CARB area and the hoses some hoses may be disconnected. Alleyoop

Actually went and looked at that scoot, the Guy had it on Craig's list as a 250cc.
He probably changed it when I told him it was a 150. How much you get it for?
Anyways, the card needs to be cleaned and made sure there is no old gas in it. Take it out and take everything apart, just don't loose a screw or spring, and clean everything with either a bit of gas or alcohol, make sure the rubber diaphragm has no tears and isn't too hard. Put it all back together and that should help with most issues.
I don't remember all that was wrong with it, doesn't it have a toggle switch under the seat or something?

Oh and by the way Maggie, the kick starter IS reliable.. if you keep the bolt tightened correctly.... getting it tightened correctly can be an issue though. I do have a battery in my scoot but I'm thinking its fried, o have kicked it to start for over a year and no issues, that's two engines with only kicking it and its fine... just make sure you buy a longer bolt and a nut and tighten that thing down good and you wont have to worry. Others will say differently tho
