I recently bought a Roketa 150cc Sicily. The previous owner installed a new carb a few days before but didn't replace any of the fuel lines. It developed a leak at the petcock. My b/f and I replaced the fuel lines and reconnected everything. Now it won't start though it tries really really hard. I'm wondering if we connected the fuel lines wrong. The Assembly guide shows the fuel line with the fuel filter going to the center connector of the petcock. However, after doing some research on the net it seems this isn't right. I found several images that show the fuel line with the fuel filter going to the bottom connector of the petcock and the vacuum hose going to the middle connector. FYI - the vacuum hose also has a T-connector further down going to other things so I maybe confused as to what this hose really is. Can anyone tell me which way it all actually connects?? The bottom with two outlets one goes from the gas tank to the petcock and from the petcock to filter to carburetor. The top one that says vacuum connects there to the "T" and that "T" connects one to the intake manifold and the other to the vacuum port on the carburetor

Will we need to clean the carb out now do you thing?

The way you have the hoses are hooked to the petcock is correct. That is how mine is connected. The lower hose (vacuum) goes to a T fitting. one hose from the T will go to a fitting on the intake manifold and the other hose will go to a vacuum port on the carb., or if it has emission stuff it may go to a vacuum valve on the fuel tank vent hose. If your carb doesn't have this fitting and the emission stuff has been removed you can plug this hose or remove the T fitting and run a hose directly from the petcock to the fitting on the intake manifold.

Mine does not have any Emission stuff on it so I only have ONE VACUUM line from the INTAKE MANIFOLD to activate the Fuel Pump and ACV valve on the carb: Alleyoop

the port frfom the center of the petcock is indeed for vacuum. many scoots come with the petcock mounted to the frame and have 3 hose ports. the center port is always for vacuum. yours is mounted to the tank so although the threaded one is still a port it eliminates some guess work. your pic shows your lines are connected correctly for your application.

We switched the lines around the right way and she fired up. She doesn't want to stay that way though. We gave up when the battery started to run down. The fuel filter was only filled about half way. Maybe gravity just needs to do its job?

Looks like you were right and it's the Petcock.. We took it off and it was grimy and not letting fuel flow.
