First - thank you everyone who helped me earlier in the summer. Turned out I had a loose grounding wire from the CDI. Bypassed the molex connector, direct connection.. DONE! She's cranky to start when I don't keep the trickle on her or don't get to ride her daily but otherwise she's great! I've put 500 miles on her. Now I'm trying to find a new Turn Signal Switch. The assembly works just fine (front lights, horn and, if I stick a screw driver into the slot that should have the Turn Signal Switch, the blinkers work fine). The problem I'm having is finding the right replacement switch. I ordered the one that just about every site has listed for an MC-17-150cc Roketa scooter and the thing is TOO BIG! I mean not just a little but HUGE! compare.ebay.com/like/161082011818?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar is prob'ly 4x the size I need. thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mGa7tmjXzNzdi80rb1kg5pw.jpg shows the actual turn signal switch I need, except mine should be blue.. whatever. I've been to every site, and searched every way I can think of online for JUST this tiny switch. Before I buy a whole new assembly does anyone know where I can find the tiny switch.. or how I can make the HUGE one fit?? Thanks

So I replaced the coil and am still having the same problems. Sitting on the side of the road waiting to be rescued I got into a conversation with a guy who has a liquid cooled 250cc. He says the air cooled 150cc just don't get enough air to keep the engine from over-heating and that's what is stalling her. *sigh* Up on Craig's List she goes. I will just have to save up to get a new, liquid cooled, scooter.

So I ordered a new coil - they aren't expensive and since the old one rested on the engine for who knows how long I decided it wouldn't hurt to replace it. Better safe then more headaches. Since I've been reading about coils and cdi's on the site I'm wondering if I shouldn't replace the CDI as well. I'm not sure if my current is a DC or AC CDI I'll have to wait until I take it all a part again once I have the coil. I'm also wondering if I shouldn't run the scooter until it dies again then check the valves to see if they are sticking. Not just let it idle for a while then check to make sure the valves are correct. *pondering*

[replyingto=cinnamon]cinnamon[/replyingto]Update: We let her cool in the Tom Thumb parking lot for a couple of hours and she started right up. She's home now thankfully. Attached is a pic of what the wires under the rubber part of the coil look like. Attachments:

So this is my third post about this scooter and I am so frustrated with the scooter I'm ready to push it into the Trinity and wave bye bye. Scooter is a Roketa 150cc MC-17-150 History - previous owner replaced carb because it wouldn't run. Ran until I bought it and rode it home. Since then the boyfriend and I have replaced the: fuel lines - old and weak the petcock - was leaking and then broke - first stall/death the spark plug - it was old and wet when pulled out - second stall the head lamp bulb adjusted the carb cause it was running rich - did this after the third, fourth, and fifth stall adjusted the throttle - with each carb adjustment adjusted the valves - top was REALLY loose and the bottom was tighter then .003 got them set at .005 and .004 tightened the grounding wire, and got the coil off the engine and mounted to the frame. After the valve adjustments she started and ran with a lot more power. Decided to try a long ride (about an hour). A mile from home she died once again. Could she be overheating? Could the coil (that had been resting on the engine and the wires kinda look melty) be overheating and causing her to stall?? Any ideas before I push her into the Trinity and wave??

Where are the valves? I can't find the simple answer in the manual. It talks about Carb valves, throttle valves..*head spins*..accounting is so much easier.. LOL

skuttadawg - Will def. charge the battery once I'm home again. We didn't do any valve adjustments I will look that up. She now has 1025miles on her. I haven't changed the oil since I got her two weeks ago (she had 989 miles on her at the time).
devo344a - I read thru several of the posts on your thread but didn't find anything that said "THAT'S IT!" to me. I will look more, thank you

I have a Roketa Sicily 150cc Scoot. She has a new carb, just replaced the petcock and the fuel lines. After about two weeks of work she started up and was running! YAY!! Drove her 10 miles that day, then rode her to work, around at lunch, and back home (about 45 mins to go 7 miles..eesh).
This morning I started her up and let her idle a few minutes. It was 60 degrees and we were both a little cold. Drove 2 miles, idled at several lights, with no problems. Engine didn't cough of stutter, no weird noises, just me and my "Bluebell" going to work before the crack of dawn.. truely! That is until I got 2 miles from home. I was idling at a light when she just turned herself off. Didn't stutter or cough.. just turned off. She didn't want to re-start so I pushed her over to the sidewalk and started texting my roommate and boyfriend that I "might" need saving.
I tried to start her up again and she fired up then immediately died and wouldn't restart. I'm thinking her engine is flooded.. let's wait.. called the Roommate to see if she could borrow her boyfriends truck "just in case". Waited a few minutes then tried to start her up again. Well I guess I tried to many times cause her battery just couldn't give enuff power to start her, even the lights dimmed.
My Roommate and I loaded her into the back of her boyfriends truck and she dropped me off at work.
Could it have been the cold that got her and made her engine just turn off?? Any other ideas?? New carb, new lines, new petco.. ran great for 35 miles, and had a full tank of gas.

Looks like you were right and it's the Petcock.. We took it off and it was grimy and not letting fuel flow.

We switched the lines around the right way and she fired up. She doesn't want to stay that way though. We gave up when the battery started to run down. The fuel filter was only filled about half way. Maybe gravity just needs to do its job?

Thanks! That def makes it sound like we got it backwards. Despite what the assembly manual said! sheesh.
Will we need to clean the carb out now do you thing?

I recently bought a Roketa 150cc Sicily. The previous owner installed a new carb a few days before but didn't replace any of the fuel lines. It developed a leak at the petcock. My b/f and I replaced the fuel lines and reconnected everything. Now it won't start though it tries really really hard. I'm wondering if we connected the fuel lines wrong. The Assembly guide shows the fuel line with the fuel filter going to the center connector of the petcock. However, after doing some research on the net it seems this isn't right. I found several images that show the fuel line with the fuel filter going to the bottom connector of the petcock and the vacuum hose going to the middle connector. FYI - the vacuum hose also has a T-connector further down going to other things so I maybe confused as to what this hose really is. Can anyone tell me which way it all actually connects??
