Hi there everybody! Last year i bought a new 50cc moped right from the factory. It has a 139qmb engine and I tought that was too week and changing some parts won't be that bad. So,I've started doing that with big hopes.First step was a BBK from Malossi,88cc. I have some previous experince with Malossi and i think is top quality.I've changed the main jet with 80.Then after I've changed the variator-7 g.,kevlar belt both from Malossi too,of course. The CDI box is from Naraku, the adjustable one,Naraku Racing V.2 Camshaft,BGM Pro V8 exhaust. After all this I just cant rich more then 63 km/h.What else can i do to get over 75km/h? Now I'm waiting for my Delta Clutch from Malossi. p.s.The cylinder head is stock, the one with secondary air system.

Is the 88cc kit a 52mm piston? I run a 52mm piston in both my scoots and when i had the stock size carb i ran a 98 jet with uni filter, if your still using the airbox you'd need a jet - the 80 jet is way small if you have a 52mm piston

Both my scoots can do close to 60 mph or 96km/h gps i got most my stuff at scrappys and exhaust and carb and a few other things off ebay, starting to think the malossi and naraku ultra expensive stuff doesn't perform as well as the cheaper scrappy stuff by some of the stuff i have been reading. The guy with naraku stuff said his scoot isn't that fast so, maybe you dont have to spend tons of money to get great results

Agree with rune75 and millsc..#78-#80 is what we run on a stock 50....for the 47mm BBK we use a # ....for the 50mm we use a # and for the 52mm we need at least a # ....or you will run lean...have no power...and cook that engine..

millsc-Yes,it is a 52 mm piston.I'm surprised that is not toasted too. In fact the spark plug has a beautiful chocolate brown color. That means it runs perfect. rune75-Already tested with main jet and no changes at all. Other suggestions? :-)

change your final gears get a big valve head and a 24mm carb, i dont read the plug anymore i can tell by how it runs and the sound the motor makes if its rich or lean, better to be rich than lean if you leave that 80 jet in theres a post that "my scooter has no compression" will be posted here soon

the big valve head paired with the bigger carb made a big difference for me the head has ports matched to the 24mm manifold

I've heard people getting faster scooters by just changing the cylinder head.

the head and valves provide the needed compression and play a huge part in power output

I have changed the weights to 5.0 grams and it feels a little better. Now I'm looking forward for a cylinder head, but I'm not so sure which one could fit best for my 88cc (52mm piston) and it must have EGR or SLS or SAS on. Any suggestions ? Regards
