I have everything done on my t3 except the headlight and front blinkers still don't work can't figure out why can i wire the headlights to the battery with a toggle switch and only use them at night which will be almost never since i don't ride at night and can i wire the front blinkers to the back blinkers since they work fine?

Headlight gets power from a series of coils in the stator. like 4.5 coils. The battery gets power from all 6 coils.
The design is to power the lamp raw. Short out the extra voltage to regulate the voltage. This is the simplest design. It work, it works great. It works awesome great. unless it doesn't work. Then you have to fix it.
Check for voltage on yellow wire from stator. This is the headlight feed. This yellow wire connects to the regulator for regulating. It is possible the transistor is shorted and causing a 0 volt regulation, but unlikely.
You can unplug the regulator and Idle the engine, or just crank it over and see voltage but this "WILL BLOW THE LAMPS" because the regulator is not hooked up. So don't do it. Unplug the stator and start the engine and read voltages on white to ground and yellow to ground. Also do an OHMS in the coils yellow to ground (0.7 ohms) white to ground (0.8 ohms)
Next plug in the connector at the stator and reread the voltage on the yellow to ground and see if it is gone.
If the voltage is gone you ar looking for a short to ground on the yellow wire. This can be the regulator shorted to ground but unlikely.

so my rewire idea is a bad idea?

[replyingto=millsc]millsc[/replyingto]No it is a good thing,, You get to understand how this all works. Take it slow and read these things for what they are. They are pretty cool how they do the electrics. Most Peeps don't get it. It's worth the experience if nothing else.
So dig in and figure it out. I did, Then you'll be a Master Yoda Scooter Electrics Dude
PS: they spent a week working on a VCR to figure out why it wouldn't power up. Turns out a cap was out of value in the power supply stage. So a week went by with no measureable revenue. But for years to come loads of these VCR's rolled in all needing the 10 cent part. There was Big $$ in fixing them. So learn it up.
