Hey all,
I have this little 50cc Dazon scooter that I just use for buzzing around the neighborhood.
Had a recent issue where it would hardly get up to 25mph... so I removed the carb and cleaned it all up.
Now the scoot hits 30mph no problem at all.
BUT.... its weird... as soon as it gets to 30mph... if I hit a bump, or run over a manhole cover..or whatever the scooter briefly pauses and like holds back. Almost like a kill switch is engaged for a fraction of a second. Its like it won't let me go over 30mph at all...
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks!

Check ignition coil connections and spark plug cap.

Well, I removed the air filter box and put on one of those conical air intakes....
The filter was quite dirty and the cost for a new filter was about the same as the conical intake filter - so I am trying that...
The scoot is a little bit louder, which isn't such a bad thing because it was quite quiet before.
Now the scooter gets up to 35mph with a little time.
I weigh about 200lbs - so I am wondering if I am asking too much from this little 50cc??
The issue I had before... with the engine seeming like it is cutting off... is totally gone now which is kinda weird.... but I'll take it!
Thanks!
