Immediately! There's no need, not to use synthetic while break in (synthetic oil in stores is no longer pure refined synthetic oil of many years ago; but refined dino oil, with a lower than 30% true synthetic). The only reason synthetic oil wasn't used for the break in, was because it was over 5x more expensive than regular oil.. Nowadays synthetic oil in stores, is in actuality semi-synthetic oil, that nears the quality very closely to the older synthetic oils. Due to the fact that you can buy a bottle of 'synthetic' (or semi-synthetic, because that's what they are), in the stores, for the same price as regular dino oil, you may as well start using it from the very beginning. The Synthetic oil sold in stores is better for your engine, as it has less crunched cockroach shells in them..
