I'm having a little bit more trouble starting my TaoTao CY50-T3 since the weather has warmed up. I have to give it some throttle as I'm cranking, and then have to rev it for about 30 seconds or it will die. Once it warms up it idles and runs perfectly. My A/F screw is 2 1/2 turns out and my valves are set at .003. I have a main jet and a 35 pilot jet and a high flow air filter. Everything else is stock.

Try running octane and see if that helps... I just filled w and seems to run better.

For cold weather you need to Richen the Mixture. For warm weather you need to Lean the mixture. Alleyoop

I only use octane fuel. I will try adjusting my A/F to lean it out a little.

OK, I re adjusted the valves to .002 because they were rattling like crazy, now there is just a VERY faint tapping sound from the valves, and I re adjusted the A/F and it starts and runs MUCH better.
