How good are these little scooters. Are they decent.. My friend owned one and it went pretty quick. Fast enough. I think my scooter, I will leave original parts. Only do 30 to 35 MPH. I own a 250 Bali scooter that rides 65 mph . Want the 50cc to putt around town on and maybe ride on back roads to Walmart in Owensville MO.. Just a basic fun thing to do, when the sun it out and feel like adventuring for a ride. My 250 Bali is 10 years old and I feel like riding something newer too. Save the 250 for a ride with my wife on her Honda Rebel. Thanks for the help..

If you dont mind maintaining it more than riding it, go for it, if not id suggest going with a better brand. Kymco, honda, etc. That being said, as for modding and learning, theyre decent bikes to learn to wrench on and cheap enough when you hotrod it out and bust bearings, rods, crank, or anything else youre not out a significant amount of money.
