Thanks the Scoots a Sunny 150 by Dong-Fang Hunter/Phantom style most call it, Vento and maybe others have the same piece of Plastic. Kinda reminded my of a Suzuki Hyabusa a little bit. I dint know the style was such a big gig in Puerto Rico drag racing when I bought it. I picked it out from one of those online warehouses that many complain about, I knew what I was getting into so the back to school deal of $749. +$120 freight and do my own paper work was cool with me. I didn't expect a perfect blem free scoot and it wasn't, the Scoot shifted in the steel crate and scratched the lower right side little but easy fix, following there paper work instructions everything went smooth. Hey on that circlip issue piston dude would like to help you out., Im kinda annal when in come to pin clips. There 13mm, if you could give me the thickness measurement in inch or mm, I have something much better and will mail you a couple sets. These are pret darn poor stuff.. scary.. Scoorebrain.. yer new name...

I don't have a am small 6" vernia any more mine broke at my last welding job haven't had any need to replace then till now. I can't buy a set till next month. I appreciate that though I'm gonna take you up on that. I found a good one for now. Love your scoot!! How do you do raceing it or doing 1/4 mi runs I'm really curious. I don't drive well enough to do those things and couldn't afford to any way I'm on disability. That dosent pay much. I'm ordering the parts for my cvt today and buying some bud to keep my sanity lol!! If I can borrow some vernias I'll text you the thickness. I changed mine it took two minutes and all better. Do you have trouble getting your clip in? If you do I have a fast way to get it. LMK God Bless!!

I meant to ask you about the final gear set. Does the gear with the shaft get pressed into the flat gear in the set? I was confused when I saw the video. I need every little detail. I have a bit of a learning disability. I hope I'm explaining correctly.

I have a bit of a learning disability. I hope I'm explaining correctly. The two gears in the new kit are not made to be pressed together. The larger of the two just gets swapped out (easy). For the other smaller gear, you need to press off the smaller old similar looking one that is already in your gearbox and press the new one that came with the kit on that same gear. Those two new gears will then mesh together once installed. Just make sure you take note of the placement of the nylon washer that will come out when you take the old gears out. If you forget just read here: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/404/139qmb-gear-swap

See a Harbor freight near you. they have some get r done good enough calipers for I think under $7 or $8 bucks, then they always have tons of %20 off coupons available with a choice of some free swag. www.harborfreight.com/#I keep a pair in the bottom of the mobile tool box. I haven't had my Scoot on any drag strip, in the 1/4 would take a week and a day to get down there and tracks usually have a maximum et track time to get it done. The Twist and Go is about as easy as it get to launch. Just whack the loud handle and go. Mines just a nice reliable stock internal grocery getter, country road cruiser with a tuned up 60ft time. I have other toys for the 1/4,

Thanks for all your help and the links. I found the new clip and installed it I somehow got them mixed them up. Probably because keep everything in a big mess but I always know where everything is. I think it popped out of my pliers and I grabbed a old one by mistake. You only need a stubby screwdriver to pop these babies in just hold the bend in the slot on the piston where it goes ans carefully push upper left side down and it will pop right in place and you can spin it with the screwdriver if it's off a little. Cool beans!! I don't know how you do it but I thought I would share just in case. I'm going on harbor freight and buying calipers now. Have a great day and God Bless say a prayer for my best friend Bob he just had a stroke and he's in the hospital he didn't sound too good when I talked with him. So if you could lift him up in prayer I will appreciate it much!!

When I'm done with the bs from the torque wrench and get to my cvt I weigh 215 I'm useing 1500rpm springs I figured I would use 7g rollers does that sound about right to get all around performance. I don't want to loose my top speed! Let me know your thoughts please. This I don't know much about yet.lol I'll get it I just don't want to take that case off 4 or 5 times to get it right.

I see many with base gasket issues on 50's they think they need to tighten more and that will only make it worse, with a end result of upsetting the top of the block in all stud corners.. You have found the stretch..

Theres no magic numbers for this as each Scoot and its combination is unique unto itself. You will need to establish a base and test that base in as much all around conditions possible. Now note peak rpm's and check that belt climb, contemplate this data... in the direction that you now think could improve go that way by 1gram and note this peak rpms and belt climb..Did it get more of what You want? now adjust from there and repeat. Getting the most of your build to the ground is all about a properly tuned CVT assy. you will find inexpensive mph in there.. good luck....

I wanted to know if 7g weights were a good choice to start with the 15k springs and my weight of 215? You know much more than I but I haven't pulled the stock rollers out yet either and actually they're not too shabby on all three plains of start mids and top speed!! But of course I want the best for the top equation.
