I sold a ton of the Ballistc brand to the GNCC off road racers both quad and bike, mainly weight savings. Same thing for Sport bikes Weight savings. Other than that I don't think id pony up for one...

Riding an e-bike with lead acid batteries is not a lot of fun. They are so heavy. -Lithium batteries cost at least twice as much as lead acid, they weigh less than half as much. -Lithium batteries should be handled like a can of gasoline because they do ignite on occasion. Store them outside the house and definitely do not charge them in doors. -A 36v 10ah lithium battery pack starts around 300 bucks. Oops. All that applies the e-bicycles. I haven't used a lithium battery to start my scooter.

I run alot of auxiliary lighting at night, and tired of killing SLA batteries due to the extra drain on the batt. One SLA battery might last a season if its of good quality. The cheap chinese cells i go through in a month, maybe 1.5 I know I need to do the 11-pole stator upgrade to fix the issue proper, but my current battery is garbage so im debating trying lithium for the higher drain and better charge cycle(s), then if still having issues do the stator upgrade.

Bad thing about them aside from the price, is the fact that they fail without notice, acid batteries fade gradually, so you notice it is going bad, lithium batteries don't.

Guess this seals the deal then, im going to be upgrading to the 11 pole stator and getting a decent agm battery.

I had one and it was basically junk. I suppose there is a chance it was ok but the only thing I could find out is charging is different between the two kinds so our regulators aren't meant for lion and so not really compatible, but oddly enough I haven't seen anyone selling a r/r meant for them either so it is confusing. Maybe the good ones have the needed circuitry built in and it doesn't matter much, but mine didn't take a charge from day 1. lasted about 3 days, just long enough to use up what charge it came with. I did get a good lead acid replacement free from the seller without hassle but my dumbass forgot to ask for the difference in price be also refunded. Oh well.
