Well boyz n' gurlz...I saw this pic, and being a John Wayne fan, a scooter fan, and (like the Duke) a cat lover, I couldn't resist making a fun graphic for any like-thinking members... Any time you feel a tad down the food-chain on your scoot, just picture the Duke on a Vespa... Yup! Ride safe,Leo in Texas

I wonder if the Duke really drove a scooter, or just did the ad.
Regardless, that's pretty dang macho!

He's an actor,,the only macho actors were clark gable (who had a ranch and worked it and rode Harley's in the San Fernando valley) ,,,and Ronald Reagan who after retirement went to his ranch in the Santa ynez mountains and chainsawed wood and rode horses and reroofed his own house by hand with a few helpers,,,mucked stalls,,and actually worked his ranch like it was his job and Tom selleck who owns an avocado grove and horse ranch about 3 miles from where I'm typing ,,who also works his ranch like it is his job,,,

Remember Vespa were always macho, ask any guy in Italy,or pretty much anywhere in Europe they are the equivalent of Harleys there, vintage scooters and smaller bikes were hugely popular, the big Harley is more of an American invention

There are also a lot of really narrow streets and alleys where a Harley could never fit lol

There are also a lot of really narrow streets and alleys where a Harley could never fit lol Before I was legal, my friend drove my scooter to where he worked, so I could practice some higher speeds on its long private road. When we got back home (in his case, when he FINALLY got back to my home!), he commented how much more nimble Peej was than his big Harley. >'Kat

HOO-HAA... HeHeHe... I LOVE it! Have a bone on The Old Chopper Guy...And STILL more macho than most... Yeah, I know the Duke was an actor, but most of his peers relate that what you saw on the screen was more real John Wayne than actor... Even Wayne himself once said that his characters were just "me" on film... What ya' see is what ya' get.Long ago, I can't even remember the occasion anymore, Wayne received an award posthumously and if I recall, Yakima Canutt or one of Wayne's movie compadres accepted it. The presenter asked him if the Duke was gay... He promptly decked the presenter and growled: "Not hardly, pilgrim". No offense on my part against any gender preference, but it would seem the Duke could be "macho" even after he was dead...
I can just hear the Duke now... A pink bunny suit? "Yeah, it's a RABBIT. And it's PINK. Ya' wanna DO somthin' 'bout it? That'll be the day!" HOO-HA, I'm still chuckling! Pic must have been from "Laugh-In". I'll take Goldie Hawn in a Bikini, thank you... LOL!

Seems like a more macho question for kev' to post--John Wayne in a bunny suit or on a Vespa.
