Ok I replaced my stator , I had charge coil voltage too low for the CDI, I had an 8 pole, dual charge coil 5 wire, the fifth wire is really irrelevant as it just grounds to the stator frame, and is just an extra ground, I can now start the scooter, but I have no AC voltage on either output wire, I had AC voltage before. I have a good ground wire from the battery all the way to the stator case. I can measure 60 ohms on each wire to ground. This is a single charge coil with two yellow wires, instead of a yellow and white, but both should be the same, it's just AC voltage from each winding, one goes to each side of the regulator rectifier, but I'm measuring 0 volts ac to ground to each wire right out of the stator case, I haven't pulled the flywheel again to check for pinched wires, but my meter is telling me they aren't anyway. any ideas? some kind of oddball wired stator? the new stator is not a floating ground but a standard stator

Are you taking the measurements with the stator plugged in. Is the regulator connected?

no, straight from the stator it's not crappy connections, as I replaced everything with weather packs

they are sending me a new stator, different vendor, but this is ing me off, the first one they lose in shipping, second one is bad right off the bat, if this works eventually I'll upgrade to an 11 pole three phase and 5 pin regulator

when your regulator is plugged in it will throw off the readings.
Why would you go with 5 pin and not 6 or 7 with the 11 pole set up?

That's what I meant, anyone got a good diagram for running that regulator and stator? Oh and Amazon has delayed my stator again. So my plan to ride up to the state park is done. I'll be riding in someone's car now to get there it's been nothing but bs from amazon for weeks now

How many extra watts are we talking with the 11 pole anyway?

so that one has a feedback to keep the battery from overcharging?

it has a sensing wire/line that will increase and decrease regulator output/voltage.
Did you buy the cheap charlie off amazon? if so thats why your getting the run around. I test all my electrical items the defective ones go in the trash.1 in 3 are bad.

I found an x pro one, at a regular online scooter store, and back searched it to amazon, got it with free shipping, I hate to spend a bunch of money, when I'm going to convert to the 11 pole anyway

I'll get the 11 pole setup from John does that come with the connector plugs? Or do you have to source your own plugs and wiring? I want to add some aux driving lamps anyway so I need the wattage

Mine is not plug and play you will need to do the wiring. I have some plugs and pins.
Darrell, the 4 pin regulator can shunt all stator power, that is why you need to up it when testing stator output.

the new one disconnected shows 60 ohms to ground from both output wires. thats not right, plus it has zero volts out when running
